Alan Binstock Exhibition at 1275 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, DC (on 13th Street NW) Reception: Thursday, September 17, 2009 6 to 8 pm Large Work in a Small Show On view July 27 - October 2, 2009 This exhibition features the sculpture of Alan Binstock, whose work primarily integrates glass and steel. Mr. Binstock constructs forms that evoke a dynamic material tension while simultaneously setting forth a harmonious balance between outer shape and inner structure. His work was chosen by Norman Parish. Mr. Parish has owned and operated Parish Gallery-Georgetown in Washington, DC for the past eighteen years. Speaking about the work he selected, Mr. Parish stated, "The educated mind of an architect, the inner vision of expressing beauty through steel, glass, and stone materials in three-dimensional design, propels the essence of Alan Binstock's sculptures in their minimalist form."
